Assisting a Namibian NGO Promoting Artisans

New Perimeter lawyers are providing assistance to The Omba Arts Trust ("Omba"). A Namibian non-profit organization, Omba provides product development, training, mentoring, together with sales and marketing support, to rural art and craft producers throughout Namibia. Omba has relationships with more than 600 Namibian producers, most of whom are women in very small, very remote rural communities. Through Mud Hut Trading, the marketing arm of Omba and a registered fair trade organization, Omba provides these women with a link to the national, regional and international market to which they would otherwise not have access.

New Perimeter lawyers have been working with a multi-disciplinary team of experts, including US and Namibian lawyers and accountants, to advise Omba through an intensive corporate restructuring of part of its operations.

The Omba Arts Trust kindly granted permission to use some of their photography on this website.
